Coach Bags: Every Line Explained

Founded in 1941, Coach initially focused on men’s small leather goods, but women’s handbags came later before becoming the heart of the brand. These days, coach handbags run from structured shoulder bags and relaxed hobos to satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues. Every main line is covered in turn below, with notes on what the bag is, when it appeared and how it is built. Where a launch date is documented, it is given; several familiar lines, by contrast, have no reliable launch year on record.

Prices are observed market prices from 2026 rather than entries on an official price list, and they shift with size, material and promotions. Anyone choosing a first coach bag should be aware that closely matching names can cover completely different designs. Some buyers type “couch bag” when searching for a Coach bag, which can pull furniture listings into the results because the first word is also a name for a sofa.

The Tabby

The Tabby is a firm-bodied shoulder bag that can also be worn crossbody, featuring detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware. Designer Stuart Vevers unveiled it in 2019, and its silhouette was drawn from Coach’s 1970s archive. Photographer Juergen Teller is reported to have shot couchclothing.com the bag’s launch campaign, “Dream It Real”. The core product name is Tabby Shoulder Bag, and sizes 20, 26 and 36 have been offered.

Names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting identify the softly padded Pillow Tabby, which followed in 2021. Observed prices for the Tabby 26 stood at $475 in the US and £475 in the UK; quilted and special-edition versions sat higher. Its ability to switch easily between shoulder and crossbody wear makes it a strong choice for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.

The Brooklyn

The Brooklyn is a relaxed coach shoulder bag in natural-grain leather, much closer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. It was launched in August 2024, following its debut on the Fall 2024 runway. Reports so far point to two main sizes: the Brooklyn 28 and the bigger Brooklyn 39. Said to be roomy enough for a 15-inch laptop, the 39 works as a practical work bag.

Not to be confused with the shoulder styles, a newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026. The Brooklyn 28 was observed at £350 at John Lewis on the UK market. The Brooklyn was among the bags cited after The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had grown 160%. That figure, it should be noted, measures searches rather than resale prices.

Rogue

Built with top handles and a shoulder strap, the Rogue is Coach’s firmly structured satchel. First seen on the Fall 2016 runway, the bag was eventually discontinued; a 2021 relaunch revived it. At the top of Coach’s leather range, the line comes in versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins. The top Coach bag price observed in 2026 belonged to a Rogue 25 in alligator, observed at $8,000.

A Made-to-Order Rogue is also offered by Coach, and it has reportedly taken around 12 weeks, stretching to about 16 weeks with exotic materials. Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own repair and resale program, has offered restored Rogue bags. A good number of collectors see the Rogue as a showcase for how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.

The Empire Carryall Line

The Empire Carryall is a stretched-out, east-west top-handle bag using the product name Empire Carryall Bag 34. It was presented on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway and released in February 2025. Fashion press reports said, it sold out on the day of its release. Softer variants, called Soft Empire and including a Soft Empire 40, are separate from the structured Carryall 34.

On Coach’s own website in the UK, the Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475. For everyday carrying, its long top-handle shape offers a dressier alternative to a coach tote bag. Anyone comparing listings should check the number after the name, since 34 and 40 are different bags.

Kisslock: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel

Coach links the Kisslock motif to the Bonnie Cashin era; the name belongs to a frame clasp inspired by vintage coin purses. Several different bags share the name, and they should not be mixed up. The Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was reported as the opening look of the Fall 2026 show and has been observed at $350. Earlier Kisslock Frame versions also show up in listings, so the family may predate that show.

Made with quilted nappa leather and rivets, the Kisslock Dreamer 21 is an older style that now appears mainly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved. The Kisslock Barrel Bag is a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue based on a 1973 design. Introducing yet another use of the name, a Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026.

Swinger, Swing Zip and The Coach Originals

Built from newly made reissues of archive designs, The Coach Originals offers bags that are new rather than vintage. Coach traces the original Swinger design back to 1987; it is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag fitted with a turnlock. The current version is the Swinger Bag 20, also sold With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard. The two names are not interchangeable: the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, drawn from a 1998 design.

Early 2025 reports pointed to other Originals including the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. Reports indicate that the Coach Originals name was already in circulation by 2020. The line suits buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a properly vintage piece.

Soho: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker

Soho is one of the trickiest names in the Coach catalog because it covers three different products. Back in 2006, the original Soho Flap was introduced. The Soho Bag 25 is not that 2006 bag but a smaller, newer reissue offered in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. A Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also been listed, and Soho styles are part of The Coach Originals.

On the other hand, the Soho Sneaker is footwear, featured by Coach in 2025 and 2026, putting it alongside shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. Adding “Bag 25” or “Flap” to a search helps separate the bags from the shoe. As no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, visit Coach’s own website before buying.

Willow, Cassie and Juliet Side by Side

None of these three lines has a documented launch year, though they are recognizable, so treat with caution any date you see online. Made in pebble leather, the Willow family has included the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. Coach’s own website has also featured a Custom Willow Tote, and the Willow Tote 24 is a clear example of a coach tote bag. The Cassie Crossbody Bag 19, fitted with a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, sits within Cassie, a crossbody and top-handle design.

Coach’s own website has continued to list Cassie styles with newer style codes. Offered in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30, Juliet is a slouchy shoulder bag in glovetanned leather. Because availability changes by season, confirm whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before relying on an older review.

All the Lines at a Glance: Observed Prices

The table below brings the main lines together with their shape, key date and an observed 2026 price where one was reliably captured. Rather than entries on an official Coach price list, these are observed market prices that change with size, material, color and promotions. Sales tax is excluded from US prices, while VAT is part of UK prices. Full-price styles may be marked down during sales, and a coach outlet runs its own promotions on outlet styles.

Coach Outlet is Coach’s own official channel, sold through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. In 2014, Coach’s head of investor relations was quoted as saying roughly 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel. That figure is somewhat dated, and Tapestry has since spoken about bringing some full-price collection product into outlets. A full-price coach store or Coach’s own website is still the place to look for current-season lines.
